“ The planet does not need more ‘successful’ people. But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every shape and form. It needs people who live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane. And these needs have little to do with success as our culture has defined it.”

Why did you get involved in Student LEAF?

“I believe my biggest aspiration before I knew about Student LEAF was to help encourage others and make them aware of most of environmental problems that we see throughout this world. Not by preaching to others but to have simple discussions and be more empathetic and engaged with the solutions. After last year knowing about student LEAF I felt that this was a great starting point to start that ideal approach. Student LEAF has been a great launch pad for reaching out to the Greeley Community and I hope we can continue to bring more awareness of sustainable efforts to the campus as well as the town!”

What is you dream proposal for UNC?

” I would propose that we help renovate every type of housing on campus to allow every dorm room as well as each house students live in to be self sustainable and run without any type of utility. I think the best way to start thinking sustainable is by living sustainable and this is a great way to get that type of awareness! Education throughout living sustainable would be the biggest advocate and I believe living without utility bills is just a bonus!! “
